Working in sales, whenever we come across hard times (such as a recession), many salespeople struggle financially. This is especially true for those of us that work for commission.

When the economy goes to shit, many suffer with their income, and suddenly everything becomes very difficult.

Paying the bills, car payments, rent, basic living essentials, etc.

Life just becomes one big struggle.

Yet there are a few sales professionals that nothing  ever seems to affect.

True sales professionals show no loss of income, or even do better in times of recession.

Why is that?

Why do some sales professionals consistently produce income, while other incomes fluctuate like the seasons?

In financial downturns, such as recessions, these sales people often face the equivalent of a very long, very hard winter.

We’re Not Officially in a Recession, Yet

Now, we’re not officially in a recession, yet. Not until we show 2 straight quarters of reduced GDP.

With a crisis such as the coronavirus, I believe it might be pretty hard for us to avoid one. I don’t really see a way in which the world takes a hit like this one and keeps going like nothing happened.

I could be wrong, and for many people, I hope I am. But I’d like to hedge my bets on this one. These are the kind of things you definitely do NOT want to second guess, and get wrong.

So, I’m acting and working as if as if a recession is already happening.

I’m prepared and ready for it, and working my ass off. So, if there isn’t a recession, I’m going to kill it even more this year.

So far in 2020, we’ve already seen the stock markets crash in multiple markets, hard.

According to realtors I’ve spoken to, the housing market is already beginning to slow down, and more.

The coronavirus is a global pandemic, that’s TRULY affecting us ALL.

So, I’m presuming a recession is already here. I also believe we’re lucky enough to have a heads up on this one.

Sometimes recessions hit so fast, we don’t get a chance to act. At least we have a fighting chance this time around.

Everyone Worldwide Affected Instantaneously

Worldwide, instantaneously, with almost NO WARNING, we’ve ALL been affected by the coronavirus.

I’ve never in my life, been able to talk with my parents in the U.K., and relate to EVERYTHING they’re going through, to EXACTLY THE SAME ISSUE, as we have here in Southern California.

Everyone in the world is on lockdown, billions unable to work, entire industries are shut down, and here we are.

Act Now to Beat the Odds

So, again, we’re not officially in a recession, yet. But, for those of us that have been through this before, the writing is already on the wall.

I’ve already started implementing strategies as if we ARE in a recession. I did so, because to act early means everything, in this game.

True sales professionals know how to act, during an economic downturn.

It’s a very different way of doing business, to when the economy is booming.

Sales Strategies to Survive ANY Economic Downturn

True sales professionals have been through hard times before. Of course, we have!

There’s no way I could’ve worked as a true sales professional for over 20 years, and never have gone through a recession or two.

Many of us KNOW only too well, how to navigate our way through them.

As much as I don’t look forward to them with any type of enthusiasm (quite the opposite), I do have a few strategies I use in recessions that work well.

I’m going to teach them to you here, so that you too, can through ANY hard times the world throws at you.

Some of them involve your work ethic. You’ll need to change the way you approach the market over the next while.

Some are about how you manage your time differently.

A few of them are purely mental, focusing purely on your mindset.  A positive and bright outlook to your future is ALWAYS essential to your sales career survival.

Others are in the daily actions you’ll need take in a few different areas of your life.

Anyway, I’ve been here before, I’ll do it again, and this is NOT my first rodeo.

You’ve got this, too.

You have zero reason to be afraid. If you follow my strategies and use them, you should still succeed. You’ll do better than anyone else you work with, that doesn’t change the way they work.

Prepare for the Worst, Hope for the Best

Over the next few days, I’m going to be putting together a few strategies to share with you, for you to use.

These are strategies that I deploy EVERY TIME any economic downturn happens, and they’ve NEVER failed me yet.

I started changing my work habits and deployed these strategies a few weeks ago, when I saw the coronavirus coming.

At the time, I had no idea just HOW weird things were going to get, but I knew it might not be good. When the stock market crashed, I was glad to have already been prepared.

In these situations, it’s ALWAYS better to be prepared for the worst, and hope for the best.

Sales Strategies to Survive the Coronavirus Fallout

SO, over the next few days, I’m going to be putting together a few videos and articles.

I’ll go into detail about the sales and marketing strategies I deploy under ANY financial, or economic downturn.

If you deploy these strategies and maintain them, they’ll help you succeed at absolutely ANY time, but especially when times are tough.

Using these strategies, you won’t just be surviving any financial fallout from coronavirus but thriving.

I’m not saying it will be easy, because I can assure you, it won’t be. My strategies ARE simple, but you’ve got a lot of hard work ahead of you. If you’re prepared to kick ass, though, you’re going to be perfectly fine.

If you’re willing and able to put in the work, there’s no reason this won’t work out for you.
